Going for a Walk. psalm 119:1-8

1.Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

2.Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

3.They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

4.You have commanded us to keep your precepts diligently.

5.Oh that my ways were directed to keep your statutes!

6.Then I would not be ashamed, when I look into all Your commandments.

7.I will praise You with uprightness of heart, when I learn Your righteous judgments.

8.I will keep Your statutes: Oh do not forsake me utterly.

I know that if I could manage my way through life living like this, i could enjoy it so much more. In my life God's word has shaped me and changed my understanding in how I see things. Yeah sometimes it does not make sense, but that makes me dig deeper. Digging deeper into the meaning of His word and applying it to everyday life has not just given me understanding, but it is also a reminder of why by nature, apart from God we are absolutely miserable. It is an endless cycle of being really high one day and extremely low the next. How can I end this cycle? By getting up close and personal with the Word of God.

After reading through these first 8 verses of Psalm 119, I find my heart burdened because even though I am a believer in Christ, I know that my natural state of being human also fights for what it wants. By nature I am angry, lonely and lost. It my cry and hearts desire to follow hard after Christ and honor his commandments, statutes, testimonies....Some might be thinking I am saying its all about His law and being good. That's not the case. The way of serious "goodness" is the way of truth; which can be only found in His law. The key would be showing regard to the law and the law giver. There are no cracks or hidden agenda. It's not for personal gain.

In this moment, I am choosing to delight in His word and search through it. I don't want to feel ashamed, that I may lift of my hands and give thanks and honor to the Christ who has set my life free, who has given me understanding and who has not forgotten me- ever.

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. Psalm 119:2.

Go for a walk...seek Him out today, while he may be found.
